GoT Info You Have to Know!

In a recent article, posted on a website called hallels, tons of information about the upcoming season was revealed including news about the release date, some updates on the flashbacks D&D said would appear, and even some changes the creators are making to the show. Beware! This may contain spoilers!

Evidently the photo I mentioned a few days ago picturing Daenerys and Tyrion together for the first time is expected to be a scene from the premiere episode.

The author of the article explains:

The “Game of Thrones” book version showed a long narrative on how Tyrion escaped, after killing his father Tywin – his enslavement, the humiliation he had to endure by becoming a dwarf performer and finally how he joined a group of mercenaries.

Not going to lie, this seems like an intense narrative that I would have loved to see played out but it seems show-runners are cutting all this together and jumping right into the Tyrion/Daenerys story line. Have they even met up in the books yet? This may be interesting….

Flashbacks are still going to happen for S5 even though D&D started off the show saying they would never use this technique. They also said that about slow-motion but they have used that at least one or two times in the series. Remember Jon cradling Ygritte when she died? Notice how the characters in the back ground were slowed down a bit? If not, go back and check it out! It makes the scene 10x more emotional! Anywho, back to flashbacks. There are still speculations as to who will be featured in them. It was confirmed some time ago that the show-runners had cast a young Cersei so it seems that she will be the forerunner for these flashbacks. However, some other speculate Tywin returning (you can check out my post about Charles Dance not being completely left out of season 5) and others speculate maybe the return of Ned Stark. Hmmmm…does this mean that Sean Bean will be returning?! O.o

The article has no definite release date as of yet but I have heard rumors of a late March, early April premiere. Much like last year but we do know is that the games will continue in 2015!

So, who is excited for the new season!? Anything that you don’t like about what they are doing? Anything you prefer? I’m curious! As a non-book reader, it is hard to really have an opinion on scenes that will be cut but, at the same time, it would be nice to see some of the key scenes people have talked about/talk about appear on screen. Ah well, beggars can’t be choosers right?

You can check out the full article HERE

As always, Valar Morghulis!

Inside Daznak’s Pit

Filming continues in Osuna, Spain where the town’s bullring seems to be a major set for the upcoming season. Speculations have further concurred that the bullring could be the set for the infamous Daznak’s Pit. But, also surfacing from that area are a few photos of our lovely cast and, according to Watchers on the Wall, D&D are diverging from the books once again.

Check out these photos and I’ll see you after. We’ll speculate together 🙂

Now, I am not entirely sure what is going on in these photos as far as story line goes BUT there are a few characters that are sitting together that have not crossed paths until now.

Watchers on the Wall speculates:

The photos feature Daenerys, Hizdahr zo Loraq, Missandei, Daario Naharis, and Tyrion Lannister looking on as Jorah Mormont steps into the pit to take on several fighters.

I think we all pretty much gathered who everyone was but if you didn’t, now you know. But, this is where it gets interesting. Ready?

Watchers on the Wall further says:

In a surprising twist, Tyrion stands by Hizdahr in similar colors. Daenerys sits on Hizdahr’s other side, dressed in white. Can we take the new white gown as a hint that we’re seeing the celebration of Daenerys and Hizdahr’s marriage?

Hold on…hold on…back up. Marriage? When did it become clear she was getting married again? I thought after the Khal, there would be no one else. However, she did share her bed with Daario in season 4 but this Hizdahr guy seems to have come out of left field and now everyone is talking marriage? I mean, it is curious because Daenery’s signature color is blue and now she is wearing white? Tis very strange if you ask me. However, my biggest question is why is Jorah in the same area as Dany? I thought she banished him at the end of season 4. Did they cross paths again? Where is Ser Barristan? All of these questions and no answers! How much is everyone looking forward to season 5 now? I’m super excited! I cannot wait to find out what’s going on and Tyrion and Daenerys TOGETHER!? Oh my, this season will be epic!

Anywho, you can find the full article and more photos from the set HERE

Hope you enjoyed!

GoT 30 Day Challenge (Day 27)

Day 27: Top 5 favorite characters

Oooooohhhhhh….love this question! Let’s do it!

1) Joffrey Baratheon

2) Sansa Stark

3) Tyrion Lannister

and then this is where it gets complicated….who else would I consider a “favorite”?

4) Jaime Lannister

5) Ramsay Bolton – He’s legit now! haha.

Now, I know what you’re probably thinking…it started off bad and then ended bad…how nice of me. I’ll explain, my top 3 are a given. I’ve said over and over how much I love these three so it should come as no surprise…as for the last two, here we go. I like the new Jaime, the one that I can understand because, let’s face it, I hated him in the first season after he shoved Bran from the window in Winterfell…I mean, who does that?! But, I feel after he met Brienne, things have changed and I love it…I also love their relationship. I’d ship it 😛 Now, as for Ramsay…this is where I really have to explain…I’m not sympathetic of him, I’m really not. He gets what he deserves but I am fascinated with his story line. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I’m not a fan of Theon…who knows but the actor who plays Ramsay is phenomenal so blame him haha 🙂

I guess I just have a strong like for villains…I don’t know how else to explain it

GoT 30 Day Challenge (Day 23)

Day 23: Tyrion, Cersei, Jaime: Marry, fuck, throw off a cliff – what would you do?

Hahaha..interesting. Well…let’s see….I would marry Tyrion because it is probably the safest bet. He’s also awesome and very courteous so it would be great. I would…..sleep with Jaime just because it would be fun to screw with Cersei and take it all away from her lol. And, I would throw Cersei off a cliff, I like her for the most part but she has some serious problems so yeah, this is what I would do. It sounds really odd when you think about it but yeah, I’m not going back now haha

What about you guys? What order would you put them in?

What Moment Gets To You The Most?

Like I’ve posted numerous times before, I haven’t finished reading the books yet so I only have the show to go by. With that being said, I was scrolling through my RSS feed looking for new set photos and whatnot for you guys and I came across a post asking, ‘What moment got to you the most?’ What was funny about this was that I had no idea at first. Literally. The original poster said that the red wedding got to them the most and for very good reasons. >>I’ll post a link at the bottom for you to check out.<< But, for me, the red wedding was shocking (no doubt) but it didn’t make me burst into tears or freak out the way I have seen some people do….it just came as a really big shock that it actually happened. In fact, I think watching Robb’s wife die was more traumatic than Catelyn and Robb dying put together (but that’s just me).

The purple wedding got to me for obvious reasons. Watching your favorite character die not only gives you a sense of finality but you are really really upset about it. I’m going to miss him! -sigh-
However, another moment hit me twice as hard. Tyrion’s trial. Now that was an adventure! Not the good kind either. I found myself screaming at my computer (I livestream) because everyone was blatantly lying and it bugged the heck out of me. I’ll admit, Varys told the truth but in a way that screwed Tyrion over so I couldn’t get too mad but Cersei….and Shae…..oh man, I couldn’t control my anger. Cersei took everything that had happened or had been said and took it completely out of context and then there was Shae….I get it though. The position she was in was tough but it still hurt me so bad because Tyrion is one of my other favorite characters and watching her do that to him knowing how much he cared for her really hurt me. I was angry at first with her but I read other people’s opinions on the matter and I let it go. It made sense. Okay, I let it go up until the season finale when she openly attacked him…then I had no remorse for her. That struck me as odd. Did the Lannisters brainwash her? What happened? This was a cue for me to go and read the books (which I’m working on but I’m nowhere near there yet).

I don’t know, that is what bothered me the most. What about you guys? What moment got to you the most? What moment makes you tick? I’m really interested to know!

As promised, here is a link to the original poster explaining why the red wedding was so intense and you can even read other people’s as well! Enjoy!

New Season 5 Set Pics!

I’ve seen this floating around on the internet the past couple of days and I just want to say thanks to my professor for sending a link my way. Because of this, I was able to head over to screencrush.com and check out some new set pics for season 5. It’s hiatus season so the new pictures and potential spoilers will start hitting the internet up until the premiere (as always).

Some of the pictures include Tyrion, Arya, and I believe I saw Mace Tyrell and Ser Meryn (the late king’s loyal guard). The article mentions a lot of names so I won’t try to sum it up here but what the article does say is:

It’s a bit difficult to decipher exactly what photos were taken where, but most exciting is that Tyrion seems to have donned some unfamiliar undercover clothes in his new life abroad, similar to Maisie Williams’ Arya in her trip to Braavos.

Now, this really is exciting! I love hiatus season just for all this because it really does build the excitement but nothing compares to the season itself. I’m really looking forward to what they plan on doing with this season and I’ve heard a rumor there may be some Winds of Winter scenes in the upcoming season. Whether or not that is true is yet to be determined.

Here is a link to the article and the pictures are also available there. There are also three videos in the article which I found pretty interesting. They are 60 second videos that tell you everything you need to know about House Stark, House Lannister, and Daenerys Targaryen.

Hope you found this as exciting as I did. Valar Morghulis!

This New Fan Theory Will….Well You Just Have to Read It!

Right now with the hiatus on not only the show but also the books, fans are re-reading and re-watching and this new fan theory may just blow your mind. Let’s hope it’s not as messy as Oberyn though. Sorry, too soon?

This new theory discusses Tyrion’s parentage and the idea that what we think we know about it may not be true. This means that Tyrion may not be a Lannister but….a Targaryen? Let me explain…

According to Mashable:

While Tywin served as Hand of the King to Aerys, the theory goes, his wife was seduced or coerced by Aerys, who subsequently impregnated her. Tywin, learning of her pregnancy, attempted to abort the child using some type of drug. While the abortion did not work, it resulted in Tyrion’s deformity and Joanna’s death during childbirth.

What?! If this is true, it really would explain so much. Also, in the article, there is further “evidence” to back up this point. I’ll provide a link, don’t worry. But, what do you guys think? Do you think this may be true? What are some of your theories?

GoT 30 Day Challenge (Day 8)

Day 8: Favorite moment in book/movie.

I’m only halfway through the first book so I can’t say I have a favorite moment from the book so I guess I’ll just focus on the show.
There are so many big moments in the show that I can’t just pick one favorite. Ugh!

I’m going to narrow it down though (somehow). I really enjoy EVERY scene that Joffrey is in (being my favorite character, that’s obvious). I also really enjoy the storylines that circulate throughout King’s Landing. However, I guess if I had to pick one favorite moment (and I’m just going to go off this past season but this past season was ah-mazing!), I would say Tyrion’s trial was really well done. If I look past the betrayal that he faced by not only his family but the woman he loved and jump right into his “confession”, Peter Dinklage did such an amazing job. He should have won that Emmy! -shakes fist angrily-

But, yes, I believe that is my new favorite moment. What about you guys? What are your favorite moments from the show?
