‘Game of Thrones’ Telltale Game in the Works

Maybe you’ve heard of Telltale Games and maybe you haven’t. But, if you happened to have played their ‘Walking Dead’ season games then you most likely know who they are. That is what makes me so excited for this game! I love the ‘Walking Dead’ games and I cannot wait to see how they pull off ‘Game of Thrones’.

The official announcement was released in 2013 but it said to be released by the end of 2014 although no official date has been announced.

According to GameSpot:

Over the past two months, the developer has released various teasers about the game’s setting, but we have not yet heard much in a way of specifics. What Telltale has said, is that its Game of Thrones title will be “taking advantage of all the [series’] fiction.”

Well, this sounds exciting! Telltale does amazing stories and I cannot wait to check this out! What does everyone else think? Wanting to play or do you want to skip this one?

It also seems that the company is currently working on a ‘Borderlands’ spinoff and a third season for ‘The Walking Dead’

GoT Info You Have to Know!

In a recent article, posted on a website called hallels, tons of information about the upcoming season was revealed including news about the release date, some updates on the flashbacks D&D said would appear, and even some changes the creators are making to the show. Beware! This may contain spoilers!

Evidently the photo I mentioned a few days ago picturing Daenerys and Tyrion together for the first time is expected to be a scene from the premiere episode.

The author of the article explains:

The “Game of Thrones” book version showed a long narrative on how Tyrion escaped, after killing his father Tywin – his enslavement, the humiliation he had to endure by becoming a dwarf performer and finally how he joined a group of mercenaries.

Not going to lie, this seems like an intense narrative that I would have loved to see played out but it seems show-runners are cutting all this together and jumping right into the Tyrion/Daenerys story line. Have they even met up in the books yet? This may be interesting….

Flashbacks are still going to happen for S5 even though D&D started off the show saying they would never use this technique. They also said that about slow-motion but they have used that at least one or two times in the series. Remember Jon cradling Ygritte when she died? Notice how the characters in the back ground were slowed down a bit? If not, go back and check it out! It makes the scene 10x more emotional! Anywho, back to flashbacks. There are still speculations as to who will be featured in them. It was confirmed some time ago that the show-runners had cast a young Cersei so it seems that she will be the forerunner for these flashbacks. However, some other speculate Tywin returning (you can check out my post about Charles Dance not being completely left out of season 5) and others speculate maybe the return of Ned Stark. Hmmmm…does this mean that Sean Bean will be returning?! O.o

The article has no definite release date as of yet but I have heard rumors of a late March, early April premiere. Much like last year but we do know is that the games will continue in 2015!

So, who is excited for the new season!? Anything that you don’t like about what they are doing? Anything you prefer? I’m curious! As a non-book reader, it is hard to really have an opinion on scenes that will be cut but, at the same time, it would be nice to see some of the key scenes people have talked about/talk about appear on screen. Ah well, beggars can’t be choosers right?

As always, Valar Morghulis!

Ever wanted to learn the Dothraki language? Well, now you can!

If you are a fan who has seen every episode and read every book and have nothing to do until Season 5 OR Winds of Winter (first one seems more likely at this point) then do I have something for you. The Dothraki tribe became very popular for fans when the show started and I can more than likely bet that everyone wanted to know how the language was constructed. Well….now you can learn it. But, you do have to pay…it’s not like it’s free. You didn’t think it was, did you?

According to CBSNews….

The course was written by David Peterson, who designed the language for “Thrones” (and also helped create the High and Low Valyrian tongues spoken on the series). He’s created nearly 4,000 Dothraki words for the series and went back to create more specifically for the course.

Now, that is just a snippet about the course but you can read more here. I always thought it would be cool to learn the language but I barely passed Spanish in high school AND college so I don’t think languages are my thing but it does sound interesting! There is a free language sample on the website which you can find a link to in the article if you want to get a head start but the final product will be released October 7th. Interesting…seems like everything is being released that day….

Anywho, I found this interesting..hope you did too! As always, Valar Morghulis!
