Daznak’s Pit Stunt Video

First things first, you have to watch the video!

Okay, so this has been by far the coolest thing I’ve seen! Obviously those are trained stunt men but now it’s time to speculate as to what is going on….let’s do this.

So, this scene was filmed for Daznak’s Pit which as I’ve mentioned before is where we will see Daenerys Targaryen for a time this coming season. However, it seems that something is going extremely wrong. With looking at the stunt scene a view times, a conclusion has come into my mind: Drogon has returned and he’s angry!
Drogon is my favorite of the three dragons and as we remember from last season, he disappeared and no one has been able to find him whereas his siblings are currently being locked away from society. Seems like Drogon is a tad bit upset with that news.

However, other than a few photos of the set itself and tons of extras, it is unclear still as to what will completely happen during this scene.

Whatever the case, this makes me 10x more excited for season 5 but you can definitely check out the article HERE and there are a few photos you can look at as well.

EDIT: Okay, so it seems the video has been removed and I cannot find another one anywhere. I’m assuming it was removed due to potential spoilers. However, if you did not get a chance to see the video, it shows at least 6 stunt actors being set on fire with a flame thrower which sparks the speculation that the scene in question will be showing Drogon’s return. I don’t want to take down this post because it does give some information on upcoming news of the show but if the video resurfaces, I’ll post a new link. Again, I do apologize and I hope you understand 🙂

GoT Received More Than They Were Bargaining For With Open Casting Call

We, as fans, would know how awesome it would be if we were able to be an extra on Game of Thrones but I don’t think the show-runners know how awesome fans think it would be. In a recent casting call for a pivotal battle scene for the upcoming season, the show-runners asked for 600 extras. However, it seems they received more than they bargained for when 86,000 people applied!

O.O HOLY HECK! SO MANY PEOPLE!

According to The Independent:

Many of the fans hoping to be a part of GoT history needed the money, but one applicant, according to Entertainment Weekly, took holiday from his high-level banking job to feature in the show. 

One, I find that awesome because it just shows how far this show has spread but overall, it really makes me wonder how they narrowed it down. I mean, how do you narrow down 86,000 people to 600 people?

Inside Daznak’s Pit

Filming continues in Osuna, Spain where the town’s bullring seems to be a major set for the upcoming season. Speculations have further concurred that the bullring could be the set for the infamous Daznak’s Pit. But, also surfacing from that area are a few photos of our lovely cast and, according to Watchers on the Wall, D&D are diverging from the books once again.

Now, I am not entirely sure what is going on in these photos as far as story line goes BUT there are a few characters that are sitting together that have not crossed paths until now.

Watchers on the Wall speculates:

The photos feature Daenerys, Hizdahr zo Loraq, Missandei, Daario Naharis, and Tyrion Lannister looking on as Jorah Mormont steps into the pit to take on several fighters.

I think we all pretty much gathered who everyone was but if you didn’t, now you know. But, this is where it gets interesting. Ready?

Watchers on the Wall further says:

In a surprising twist, Tyrion stands by Hizdahr in similar colors. Daenerys sits on Hizdahr’s other side, dressed in white. Can we take the new white gown as a hint that we’re seeing the celebration of Daenerys and Hizdahr’s marriage?

Hold on…hold on…back up. Marriage? When did it become clear she was getting married again? I thought after the Khal, there would be no one else. However, she did share her bed with Daario in season 4 but this Hizdahr guy seems to have come out of left field and now everyone is talking marriage? I mean, it is curious because Daenery’s signature color is blue and now she is wearing white? Tis very strange if you ask me. However, my biggest question is why is Jorah in the same area as Dany? I thought she banished him at the end of season 4. Did they cross paths again? Where is Ser Barristan? All of these questions and no answers! How much is everyone looking forward to season 5 now? I’m super excited! I cannot wait to find out what’s going on and Tyrion and Daenerys TOGETHER!? Oh my, this season will be epic!

They spent how much money….?!

As you are well aware, I posted a few days ago addressing the details that Lena Headey had just finished filming the ‘walk of shame’ scene for season 5. In recent reports, however, it has been released as to how much money was spent in order to keep her completely clear of photographers.

Irish Independent explains:

It’s claimed series bosses spent $50,000 a day on the filming, with a lot of money to ensure there were no leaks. Apparently there were more than 200 security guards present over the four days, plus shop owners had to be paid so their stores could be closed during the sequence. 

Whoah! That’s insane….but understandable….

They go on to explain:

No one was allowed to bring a cell phone on set, in an effort to stop pictures leaking. 

Confidentiality agreements were also given to everyone involved, stating that anyone who leaked information about the scene could be the subject of a $250,000 legal action.

Holy heck Game of Thrones! I mean, I completely 100% understand the reasoning behind this. In my last post about this, it was confirmed that Lena Headey wasn’t even the one appearing nude but instead it would be a body double. It seems to me that they not only wanted to protect the scene itself for the whole ‘no spoilers’ aspect but it also seems that they wanted to protect Lena and the body double from unwanted attention. Almost a way for them to keep their modesty, I suppose. I like it. Makes sense.

In a way, this kind of reminds me of the celebrity nude photo leaks that happened a few weeks ago due to someone hacking the Cloud service. I know it’s not the same concept but it will make me wonder, ‘what if someone got a photo of Lena or the body double?’ Get what I’m saying? They didn’t give permission for their body to be exploited that way so it seems  Game of Thrones took care of it. Good for them!

It is said that season 5 is set to air in Spring of 2015 so mark your calendars! Also, here is a link to the full article if you would like to peruse it!

Lena Headey films Cersei’s ‘Walk of Shame’ but not really….

So, there are SPOILERS in this article. I do apologize but this is everywhere if you are keeping up with the show.

In recent months, there was some controversy when it came to filming this scene. Apparently Cersei walks from the Sept of Baelor which is technically a church. The city of Dubrovnik originally denied them access to filming this scene inside their church. However, they changed their mind and said she could film the scene through the city and on the steps of the church but she couldn’t step foot naked inside the church. The set coordinators are creating a church set on a sound stage where she will start there and then they will incorporate the other scenes of her walking through the city with that. Basically a mesh of the two scenes.

Apparently this past week, Lena officially finished filming for this scene.

According to dailymail:

Lena was filming the famous ‘walk of shame’ scene which sees the manipulative queen stripped naked and forced to endure the humiliation and wrath of the common people as she navigates her way through the streets of King’s Landing.

As we can see from this photo, Cersei’s long flowing hair is gone and she is nude while covered in blood and dirt.

However, it is now led to believe that the woman you see above is not Lena Headey but instead a body double.

According to techtimes:

The actress reportedly vetoed any and all nude scenes. Instead, Headey will be filmed from the shoulders up in the scene, with a body double providing the rest. 

Now, I’m not complaining. That is totally fine. I’m just excited to see the scene and what it means for Cersei.

New Information on Filming in Spain

As we’ve all heard in recent months, Game of Thrones will head to Spain to film for the location of Dorne. It seems like the perfect place for how Dorne is described, don’t you think?

According to El Pais:

Preparation has already begun for filming in Osuna, Spain at a bullfighting ring called appropriately enough Plaze de Toros beginning October 17th. 

500 extras are being fitted for slave costumes in Osuna and that a certain scene featuring Daenerys will involve over one thousand extras. 

Unnamed sources in the article have reported that Peter Dinklage will be arriving shortly so this would further cement the idea that Tyrion will be present at the Daznak Pit scene. 

Now, I’m not entirely sure what goes down at the Daznak Pit but I hear it’s intense and awesome at the exact same time. Please, no spoilers…I haven’t read all the books yet. The article also gives further insight to other locations and other filming possibilities. You can check it out here.

Filming Continues in Dubrovnik (Exclusive Photos)

Okay, so there isn’t much of an article as there are just a whole bunch of photos of filming that has been happening in Dubrovnik.

I’m just going to drop the link to the photos here and there are many! They range from peasants to Gold Cloaks to merchants. I believe there was one with Cersei but you really have to look for her but that blonde wig is hard to miss.

Let me know what you guys think. I am even more excited now that I’ve seen all these! I think this season is going to be awesome! What do you guys think is going to happen this season! NO SPOILERS! Some of us haven’t read the books yet haha

 

Filming Continues for King’s Landing

There isn’t much going on as far as the article goes, what we know is that filming for King’s Landing is underway and we have been given an exclusive look to the filming (especially a scene between Cersei and Tommen which looks interesting but I’ll let you decide).

With the Lannister family dwindling down in King’s Landing, Cersei has more than likely positioned herself as Queen Bee again and is doing her best to influence our new King (Tommen). What do you guys think?

Seems as if Tommen really has something to say to his Mother of Madness, don’t you think? This could also still be a rehearsal seeing as Lena Headey still has clips in her hair. Who really knows right now but it sure is awesome!
